Torre Sénior has 56 rooms, distributed in three different typologies: suite, standard and permanent care. With a capacity for 112 residents, the structure receives people with different health status and levels of autonomy.
The unit is situated on the right bank of the Rio Ave and a land with a total area of more than 35.000m2, the building was designed with the following configuration: 2 mutually perpendicular parts (South Part – 4 floors and North Part – 3 floors) with a building area of over 10.000m2, this way, it was possible to take advantage of the sunlight, and the view over the river. On Floor 0: are all the social areas – living room, library, chapel, dining room, administrative offices, medical clinic, swimming pool, gym, oriented activities room, hairdresser, a multipurpose room to organize events and a kitchen, a staff room and support areas; these spaces open onto a large terrace with 600m2 south facing; On the first floor: 30 rooms for dependent people, 16 of which are in a separate wing with a network of medical gases; Floor -1: it has 10 rooms and 8 suites intended for autonomous or semi-dependent people, with balcony facing south and a view over the river/garden; On floor -2: 8 more suites, with balconies and views over the garden; except for the wing intended for permanent care, all rooms are facing south and have a balcony. All rooms are equipped with a last generation nurse call system.
